In 1943, Adam Hart's great grandfather was shot down while on a secret midnight mission to occupied France. This is the story of how he made it back to Britain after a perilous 1,200 mile journey through France, Switzerland and Spain. Adam, a young journalist, decided to retrace this epic escape in order to discover more about a man he had never met, but knew to be a hero. This wonderfully vivid account, packed full of human stories, is the result.

Adam will be telling the story of his great grandfather Frank Griffiths and of Operation Pimento to General Sir Andrew Graham. For those with an interest in World War Two, espionage and indeed the tracing of family history, this will be an unmissable event.
