Andrew Morton is a well known journalist, Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling author who has published many biographies on royal figures, including Diana, Princess of Wales, and other high profile figures such as Madonna, Tom Cruise and Monica Lewinsky, which have attracted a fair degree of controversy.
His new book, Winston and the Windsors, is the fascinating story of how Winston Churchill helped shape the royal dynasty during the tumult and uncertainty of the 20th century. Andrew will describe the robust friendship that existed between Winston and King George VI, gleaned through meticulous research and archival material.
“From the days of Queen Victoria, through two world wars and the abdication to the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, Winston witnessed the inside story of the House of Windsor, their clashes, crises and confrontations. It is history at its most vivid and intimate.”
