24 Feb: Booker Prize Shortlisted Luke Kennard - 'Black Bag'

It is achingly funny, thought-provoking and just so topical. Luke Kennard may be reeling from being shortlisted for the Booker - but we are less surprised. After all, this book contains a pedalo chase, a man in a black leather bag, a secret 'black bag' society and a woman who finds the whole black bag thing, well, impossibly sexy.

Luke Kennard is an award winning poet, Professor of Creative Writing at Birmingham university and, now, a Booker Prize shortlisted novelist. This comic novel is his third book.

Join him in conversation with Louise Troup at Cheap Street Church on 24 February. Doors open at 6.30 pm for a 7.00 start. It will be a riotous evening. And who knows, he might just win the Prize!
